Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi is a high performance digital SLR camera that is incredibly advanced. Sporting a 10.1 Megapixel Canon CMOS sensor and DIGIC II Image processor, it is a compact yet powerful camera. It is lightweight and offers unbeatable combination of performance, ease-of-use and value. This remarkably simple camera was ergonomically designed.
It has Canon's large-area 10.1 MegaPixel CMOS sensor, which is an APS-C size sensor that measures 22.2 x 14.8mm. With this sensor, you can have an effective angle of view that is 1.6x the normal EF Lens focal length. It enables you to capture images with fine detail and tremendous depth and resolution. You can also reproduce good quality images and digitally edit them as it offers superb detail and clarity.
The CMOS sensor works together with the DIGIC II Image Processor to produce clear images with natural color and precise white balance. With these features, the camera can process and assemble information into images of exceptional quality. The DIGIC II Image Processor enhances every aspect of image capture by employing sophisticated signal processing algorithms. While working at greater speeds, the DIGIC II Image Processor consumes less energy.
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera has a large 2.5-inch rear LCD monitor that has approximately 230,000 pixels. It features new user interface, wide viewing angle and high precision, wide area 9-point autofocus system. Shooting and reviewing information is easy with the wide viewing angle of 160 and brighter, easier-to-read menus.
It has the Display Off Sensor that turns off the external display automatically when you compose images. It works by turning the screen off when it detects your face against the back panel of the camera. This prevents the LCD monitor's brightness from disturbing your eye while looking through the viewfinder.
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera shoots at up to 3 frames per second for 27 consecutive images. It only takes 0.2 second to start up so you are always ready to shoot the instant it's brought to the eye. It can record images as fast as 1/4000 seconds and as long as 30 seconds. The shutter synchronizes with Canon Speedlites at 1/200 seconds.
Located on the back of the camera is the high-precision 9-point AF system that is used for speedy and accurate focusing. This system can be accessed manually using the cross key buttons or automatically by letting the camera choose the right AF. For still photography, use One-Shot and AI Servo AF for shooting moving subjects. For moving and stopping subject, use AI Focus AF, which automatically switches between One-Shot and AI Servo.
The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi digital SLR camera has Picture Style settings to help you edit the color, contrast and sharpness of your images. You can also create three additional settings using the six preset Picture Styles - Standard, Portrait, Landscape, Neutral, Faithful and Monochrome. It has Print/Share button that features advanced camera direct capabilities that allows you to control while direct printing. By connecting the camera to a computer via the USB 2.0 port, you can transfer images from the cameras memory to a computer.
