Today, many of us get movie rentals at least a few times a month. Normally we will wait for the DVD rentals to hit the stores, as an alternative to watching films at the movie theaters. Here is a short list of some of big winners in the DVD rental world.
A different method for getting films is movie downloads. You can go to websites on the internet that have virtually every movie made downloaded. This a very convenient way to create a film library.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana is back in action, after a long break. This the latest film in the Indiana Jones series. In this, the latest adventure, An older Indiana takes on the Russians. Now, the chase is on for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: One time crook Ben Garvey has changed his life for the better. With a loving family, and steady paycheck, he seems to have found a better life. Then, he is let go from work, and he goes back to his old criminality ways. People die during an attempted robbery, and he is sentenced to death. He fully expects to be killed by lethal injection. To his surprise, he regains consciousness only to find himself in an insane asylum. He now is in a battle for his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon is a veteran boarder patrolman in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Soon his past is about to rear it's ugly head. He grew up in the violent L.A. gang scene, which he eventually left. When a bad twist of fate exposes his whereabouts to a member of his old gang, his family is put in a potentially deadly situation. For the sake of his family, he will take a huge risk, and work with the gang to move a large drug shipment across the border.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film is about Military scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This feature film is based on the marvel comic hero, the Incredible Hulk. Edward Norton is the top star in this film. The director is Louis Leterrier. The film genre is sci-fi/action.
DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry has an unusual meeting with hot shot lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that changes his life forever. John is exposed to "The List", which offers a steamy sexual indiscretions. Unfortunately, he also finds himself in a treacherous game of back stabbing and death.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, professor Trevor Anderson travels to Iceland that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This a new version of the original 1959 movie, that was formed from the classic work by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Directed by Eric Brevig, and starring Brendan Fraser.
THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife, and Julian, with his daughter Jess are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. Their city has been thrown into chaos. Citizens are being affected by an unusual force, and are killing themselves. Can mankind find an answer, or are we approaching the finish of man on this planet?
IRON MAN: Weapons developer, business mogul, Tony Stark is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They command him to build weapons for the insurgent group. He was wounded when he was abducted, and has metal in his chest. To overcome his wound, and escape his captors, he develops a suit of armor, which protects and strengthens him. We now have another super hero, Iron Man.
SPEED RACER: A cartoon from the 90's is now a movie hit. Similar to The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that his older brother had died racing in. Against all odds, and risking it all, he partners up with his arch rival Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, and save the family business.
