Crossroads Film Festival

The 10th Annual Crossroads Film Festival will be on April 2 to April 5, 2009 at the Regal Parkway Place Cinema, Lakeland Dr at Airport Rd. The activities that you can expect from this four day festival are 70 plus films, music and workshop.
The Crossroads Film Society is sponsoring the 10th Annual Crossroads Film Festival. The society is a non-profit and multi-cultured organization that helps to provide a means for local, national and international films to be shown. The kind of films that are produced which feature the Mississippis culture, education and economy. The Society holds lectures, workshops and sponsors festival like the Annual Crossroad Film Festival for them to meet their aims.
With all the trials that films and film makers have the society still hopes to be able to honor and celebrate the films. Especially if the films made are about the Mississippi and the South culture. The Crossroads Film Society provides a venue where film makers can discuss and learn from other film makers.
At the 10th Annual Crossroads Film Festival there will be films with B. B. King, Morgan Freeman, and Johnny Cash. There are also featured, short and animated types of films showing at the festival. There is a workshop for beginners and film makers that can give information about film making. A block is composed of a 2 hour feature and short films or 2 hours short films. There blocks have an entry fee of $8.00. An All-Access Festival Pass is also available if you want a full access to all the films in the festival. This full access is worth $80.00 where not only do you get full access to the films but also filmmakers reception, workshops, panel discussions and after parties.
After the workshops and all films have been show there will be a party of live entertainments. There will be a wide range of music from Mississippi to Atlanta to New Orleans. The souths culture and stories will be a wonderful experience.
